The name Five Otters was inspired by a pivotal moment in the owner’s life. At dawn early one cold and damp January morning, while enjoying a hot coffee outside, something was spotted through the fog over the pond. As the fog began to lift, five otters were seen swimming corner to corner, intersecting in the center, enjoying the fun. To the owner, it was a metaphor of her past meeting the future. Just eight months before the first olive tree was planted, that moment told her she was moving in the right direction.
